Griffin
patient-artist, age 6
When a young child is diagnosed with a serious disease, it is a heartbreaking time for a family. But ever since Griffin was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) when he was only three years old, he has helped his family learn how to keep smiling in the face of adversity.
"Throughout his chemotherapy treatment, Griffin always had a smile on his face no matter how he was feeling," says his mom, Ellen.
Griffin has also made others happy by donating toy trains and a train table to be enjoyed by other kids battling cancer while they are in the hospital. According to Griffin (who is quite the toy train aficionado!), they’re some of the "coolest" toy trains available. Thank you, Griffin, for sharing your beautiful smile and your love of trains with each of us!
